Big Valley Homes and Renovations, formerly Big Valley Custom Homes, is a family-run business for 2 generations. We have been building homes in the Interior for 26 years. BVHR began by making custom homes but became an international company by 1989, specializing in pre-manufactured custom homes with name recognition in the American market. Locally Big Valley became well known as a business leader producing a high quality product.

Victor Schwab retired in 2010 and the business was taken over by his son, journeyman carpenter Derek Schwab, who closed the Highway 97 storefront in order to specialize in new home construction and renovation. As well as 'growing up' in the industry and experiencing considerable hands on experience, Derek achieved his journeyman carpenter certification in 2000, has taken supervising and managerial courses and trades related training.

Derek is assisted by a variety of hand-picked, reliable, sub-contractors.
